Happy to share that our group has had three full papers accepted at IEEE VIS 2025!
Urbanite, led by UIC PhD candidate Gustavo Moreira, introduces a framework for human–AI collaboration in urban visual analytics, using a dataflow-based model that lets users specify intent at multiple levels, aligning specification, process, and evaluation while supporting explainability and interaction provenance.

VA-Blueprint, led by UIC PhD student Leonardo Ferreira, presents a methodology and knowledge base that uses LLMs to systematically capture the building blocks of visual analytics systems, revealing design patterns through a hierarchical blueprint to enable more structured, reproducible, and efficient VA development.
