Vitral: a graph of study shards, the GitHub panel and the design study timeline
A design study in Vitral: requirements, insights and artifacts as a graph of shards, the linked GitHub repository and assets, and a timeline of the study through its Understand, Ideate, Make and Deploy phases.

Vitral is a web-based environment for managing visual analytics design studies. It decomposes study artifacts (meeting transcripts, sketches, papers, and code) into a typed, relational graph of "shards" capturing requirements, insights, and design rationale. An interactive canvas with multiple views, an AI assistant, a pattern book that matches requirements to established visualization components, and a provenance timeline that tracks the full evolution of a project together support researchers from early domain understanding through implementation and dissemination.
